Remy Ma Shades Nicki Minaj on VH1’s ‘Hip Hop Squares’

Even though Nicki Minaj and Remy Ma‘s beef has simmered down over the last several weeks, there’s probably no chance for a happy reunion. On the latest episode of VH1’s Hip Hop Squares, Remy Ma threw shade at Minaj’s lyrical abilities when asked to finish off her lyrics to “Anaconda.”

The lyric in question (“P—y put his [a–] to sleep) initially stumped the Bronx-bred rapper. “You know what? I’m kind of thinking that she would have said something about her butt because that’s always like every other two bars,” she said. Lil Duval, Vivica A. Fox and Eva Marcille joked about her deliberate jab. Rem continued, “The name of the song is ‘Anaconda,’ you have to talk about your assets! Where’s the anaconda gonna go?”

Remy then backtracked from her shady comment and expressed her fandom for the Queens rapper. “I’m actually a big Nicki Minaj fan and I know all of her lyrics,” she said before incorrectly guessing the rest of the lyric.

Check out @HaleySmall from Toronto Canada

Haley Smalls is a singer, songwriter, engineer and in other words, a young force to be reckoned with. With music pumping through her veins and a foot in the music industry from a very young age, Smalls has paved her way to working with Grammy Award winning & nominated Producers such
as; Megaman, Boi-1DA (Drake, Nicki Minaj), Chuck Harmony (Ne-Yo, Mary J. Blige), Harvey Mason, Jr. (Beyoncé, Brandy Aretha Franklin), The Monarch (Rita Ora, Cher Lloyd), Rock City (Rihanna, Usher), The Phatboiz (Yo Gotti), alongside her management team Ebony Sons (DTP).
Smalls’ classically trained voice, distinctive mainstream sound and noticeable R&B influence makes her one of the most intriguing up and coming young artists out of Toronto, Canada.
In January 2014, Grammy award winning and multi-platinum selling artist Beyoncé Knowles showed her approval of Smalls’ YouTube cover of ‘Pretty Hurts’ by sharing the video on her Facebook page stating she “loved it”. Since, Smalls’ cover went viral and has reached over one million
views and still growing.
Without losing any momentum, Haley started working exclusively with one of Toronto’s most accomplished producers – Megaman (Lil Wayne, Birdman, Tyga, Drake, Kid Ink, Bow Wow, Yo Gotti). Honing in on her writing skills, writing and recording over 400 songs, Haley benefitted greatly from the development that came working alongside a producer that spent time catering to her musical strengths. This resulted in a chemistry that has been often seen and heard in the music she releases. Since then, Haley has released 3 mixtapes (This Is Me, Imagination, and The Cure) and 3 unofficial singles that have been making waves online. Stay updated with new releases by visiting her social media platforms (i.e. Facebook, Soundcloud, Instagram, & Twitter).
